“Making a daily ‘to be’ list: How a hospital system CEO is navigating the coronavirus crisis”.
This is the headline in an interview published today in the McKinsey Quarterly. Here’s the link.
I love how Michael Fisher, the CEO of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre, makes clear that In-COVID:19 his way of “Being” now underpins his doing.
“I’ve always had a decent amount of discipline around writing down “to-dos”—you know, I want to make sure I do A, B, and C today”. “But I never purposefully gave thought to whether there’s a way to be really intentional about how I want to show up every day. So I’ve added a “to be” list to my repertoire”.
A “To Be” list. A “keep it simple” technical response to quite a large adaptive change; and COVID is causing quite a few of these changes, isn’t it.
Fantastic. Thanks for the tip Michael.
