Is it the right time to start talking about the future?

I started working from home on March 16. 10 weeks ago. Truthfully, for 6 weeks of that I didn’t know what to do to be productive & viable.

But it was a real opportunity to check in with myself & understand what parts of my work are important to me & why; & to understand how they may be of value to others as well.

It’s a journey I think many of us have been on. I benefited from the time & have shifted my thinking on a number of fronts.

Through this, new product & service ideas & partnerships have emerged that I’m really excited about. Purpose-led of course! Now with a focus on the way purpose creates a lens for critical curiosity; enabling a stable platform from which to view & explore change in all its forms.

This interview with Alan Jope, CEO of Unilever, suggests that there’s not been a more important time for this skill and offering. That “brands with purpose grow, companies with purpose last, and people with purpose thrive”.

I’d love to get started! But I’m caught in a loop of “If not now, when?”. Still too early? Get going?

Would love to hear your thoughts? Thanks.
